Quick Question On Moving House

just one thing i thought of is when i get to my new house which is only 50 miles away what if the tap water is different from the tap water i use now?(ph hardness etc)

will it effect my fish?

what should i do?

Take as much of your own tank water as you can with you that way you can replicate your own tank parameters and change them slowly to whatever your local supply is via small water changes.

i thought that might be a good idea but the tank is 350 l so i am limited to how much i can take. anyone got any ideas how or what to transport a large amount of water in?

How about those big barrels people use to move salt water?? I have seen them cheap under £10 holding up to 250l of water.

Good luck trying to carry 250 litres of water. Thats about 40 stone in weight...

Yeah the RO water carrier bottles hold quite a lot of water (not as much as the back braking 40 stone!) but I think they come in a range of sizes. Check eBay as they may have some going cheap

it will be heavy but a cart on wheel will do the job. I have seen smaller barrels if thats too much and you can just keep moving water bit by bit whilst moving your other house stuff. I'm just giving suggestions but I don't know how big barrels of water are moved but I'm guessing by wheels.
