Quick Question: Help with my tap water

If you are on city water, it will all be the same (except for the softener obviously). A private well might be a different matter. If city water, presumably they add chlorine or chloramine, so a good conditioner handles that. The only drawback to an outside single tap is that it is cold water, so you will have to heat the water to get close to the tank temperature before adding it.
