NOTE TO SELF READ THE F'ING MANUAL!

Took kit back to shop man tested it on tank water and concurred it was dodgy and replaced it. On the 15 min drive home im ideally reading through the leaflet turns out ammonia test bottle #1 and ammonia test bottle #2 aren't merely 2 bottles of the same stuff but your meant to put 8 drops of each in lol

I feel such a clown now lol

Done the same here too, figured there were two bottles because it was double the dose of all the others. Oh, and managed to miss the bit about waiting 5 mins also.........doh?

Patience does not come easily for me so this is a whole new learning curve!

Read the darned manual is a given here. We all assume you have done so.
That means that a result indicating a need for further input is one that is outside the information provided by the manufacturer. Please read the manual that the manufacturer has provided. Although many of us have varying experiences with test kits as designed, few of us will be able to tell you what to expect if you deviate significantly from the test instructions.
