i just got fishes yesterday is it possible for my male guppy to breed with my balloon molly

Fishasker, although it is theoretically possible for a guppy to cross with a molly, it is almost never experienced. I have kept mollies and guppies together in the same tank many times over the last few decades and have never seen such a cross.

A link to another forum is simply not permitted here. I have disabled it. I have seen lots of pictures over the years of fish that people claimed were guppy/molly crosses Noahs ark6. That does not change what I said. I have kept those two breeds of fish together forever and have simply never seen a cross by doing so.

And just because you have never experienced doesn't make it impossible for it to happen. I've never seen one of Simon Cowells houses, but it doesn't mean there isn't one.

Oldman47 is correct in saying its very rare, although, it is possible, and has been proven, if you read articles and information on the cross breeding of the two fish, it becomes a very intresting read.
