Question

Hi all,
Ive found a guy selling 15-20 cherry shrimp, and 10 common bristlenose fry (1-3cm+) for $30 (Australian Dollars). Quite a good bargain, shrimp alone here are 2-3 dollars each.

Anyway, back to my question. Im wondering what would be the best thing to find to bring them home? Its an hours drive. I have like 10 fish bags that i saved, and a few plant bags saved (just bigger fish bags). I could take 2-3 bags for the fry to be in. But can the shrimp be in a few bags for an hour till i get home? Or should i find some container of some sort....?

bag them up with air and theyll be fine for an hour...seeing as its winter down under...putting the bags in a poly box with a few towels will help

What size bags do you have? Isnt 10 BNs a bit much? and 20 shrimp?

Guess they are small. Well you guys know Thanks, ill get the pics up once i pick em up, bout an hours drive away from my place. But worth the bargain.

if theyre fry theyll be fine...if theyre fully grown you may want a few in each bag

The guy said 1-3cm for the bristlnose size in his ad. Doesnt say the size of cherry shrimp. Ill prob put them in 2 bags per species, just for my own piece of mind lol. Got enough bags anyway.

Hi indir-emir

An hour's drive isn't too long, but when you bag them it would be best to have 1/3 water to 2/3 air in the bags. If you put the bags into a styrofoam box or cooler it will help keep the temperature stable too. The dark environment will also help keep them calm and make the trip easier for them.

Got them. That guy sold his so lost that deal. But bought 30 cherry shrimp for a different guy.

The angel i rescued however decided to grab onto a few... I saw him at 3 or so. His going out of hte tank today. But i dont see any shrimp anymore after 2 hours roughly.

Would any of the other fish in the tank eat the shrimp? (see sig)

Please help, as i want to breed them hehe. Their awsome looking.
