i don't know if this has ever been asked because i tried to search it but it didn't work... but would it be alright to put a snail in the fry tank? my fry tank is 2g and there's a lot of food that just gets stuck at the bottom and i was wondering if the snail would bother my fry or not. i need someone to clean up the bottom!!

snail shoud be fine.make sure you buy one that won't breed ( some can reproduce on their own) e.g apple snail

i encourage snails in all my fry tanks (5) they will eat what the fry miss and you can control the population via feeding. people that are overrun with snails are always overfeeding. you can reduce the food low enough to wipe out all snails in a tank and still make sure the fish get enough to eat. keeping 5 or ten smalls snails alive is a good sign of a healthy tank. they are a welcome addition to tanks in my book (unless planted)

well i do also have 2 clown loaches i could feed the baby snails to since i heard that that's a nice snack for them :D i think thats y i haven't had problems with snails yet perhaps... the snail i have is one with like a pointed shell instead of the regular round one, he was an accident into my fish bag haha. i do have a mystery snail in my big tank tho.
