I Have My Guppy Fry And My Platy Fry Together They Are Roughly The Same Age But For Some Reason Only The Guppies Come To The Top Of The Water To Eat When I Put The Powder In Ive Been Feeding 4 Times A Day. Are The Platies Getting Food Elsewhere Or Are They Likely To Die From Not Eating??

Thanks

I feed my platies and mollies on Interpret Liquifry #2 and they gobble it all up pretty quickly. I have also begun feeding them crushed flake food (they wont/cant eat crushed flake food if its not a fine powder!!) and I also feed them brine shrimp...which is really small and a superb food to give your fry.

If your platies are not feeding then they will die...I doubt very much if there would be enough infusoria naturally present in the water to feed all the platy fry.

Buy the Interpret Liquifry and you will see them eating!!!

Wish I Could Afford It!!!! Actually The Powder I Feed Them Is Finely Crushed Flake Food.
I Went Over it With A Rolling Pin To Be Sure Of It. The Platies Just Stay At The Bottom Of The Net I Wish I Could Get
Them To Come Up And Eat

I'm not going to question your finances but if you can manage £2.79 which is about US$5 then that will cover you for a long time. Its a small bottle but only a few drops are required per day to give the fish a constant supply of food.

You could try sprinkling the crushed food onto the surface for the guppy fry and maybe get some to sink to the bottom to give the other platy fry the chance to eat if they dont go to the surface..

I find it strange that they dont go up since they are "designed" to eat at the water surface since their mouths are curled up!!
