Hi guys

About a month ago I found a beautiful plec I had never seen before i- okay I know, I should have researched! It took me a while to figure out that it didn't eat algae, but luckily put bloodworm in my tank so that wasn't a problem. I thought it was possibley a King Tiger Plec, but I was wrong!

My common plec which was about 6" long and had been put in the tank a while before hand started attacking my new plec and I had to take my common one back to the LFS.

I have finally managed to find out which plec it is and it turns out it is a Queen Arabesque Plec, what I would like to know is can I add another plec in my tank or will it become aggressive like my common plec did when I introduced him. Unfortunately he isn't the kind of plec that keeps my tank clean and need a good algae muncher, so suggestions are also welcome. I must admit my common plec did a fantastic job, but am concerned that I only have a 3 ft tank, although will be changing it to a corner tank so a large one would be able to turn around.

Thank you for your advice.

you should be fine with a few of the smaller plecs in a 3ft... try to re-arrange the tank when you add the next one though - hopefully it will break up the existing terratories and mean that the existing plec(s) and the new one will all work out new ones ;)
