Q Regarding Monthly Competitions

I've been going back through some old photos and found a cracking one of an apple snail I took a little while ago, maybe good enough for one of the monthly competitions. I had a look though, and an apple snail isn't really a fish, so would that mean it would technically belong in the pet of the month competition?

Also, I see once you've entered, you can't enter another competition for two months. Say I entered the fish of the month contest, would that rule me out of all the competitions for two months or just the fish one?

Invertebrates are allowed to be entered into the FOTM competition

Also, I see once you've entered, you can't enter another competition for two months. Say I entered the fish of the month contest, would that rule me out of all the competitions for two months or just the fish one?

The two month limit on entering is for a specific competition, and is only applicable to the winner, not to everyone who enters. So if you win FOTM you can't enter that for the next two months, but you can still enter TOTM and POTM the next month if you want to.

Can I also ask a related question:

shrimp, newts and axolotls...can they go in FOTM too? or are they POTM?

Shrimp yes - they come under inverts so are allowed in FOTM. Newts and axolotls I would think go in POTM instead, but I will check that and get back to you
