Putting Garden Ornament Tank?

would i be ok to put a garden buddha statue in my tank? ive seen a few other tanks with them in but i thought id ask first

I don't think you should. Even if it's brand new. The paint on the garden ornament can harm your fish, sooner or later. What size of tank is it?

There are proper buddhas made for aquariums. I wouldn't trust a 'normal' garden one.
