I have a 5 gallon with a pair of guppies that just gave birth. I have separated some of them into a small kimchi jar with a plant rock substrate with some sand taken from my main 5 gal(the plant rock is the kind of stuff you put in plant pots to make it look nice) It also has a baby ramshorn that somehow got in, as well as a few bacopa(not sure which species exactly), java moss, duckweed and a stick that has somehow made it extremely tannin stained.

Is it a good idea to put my heavily berried cherry in there to avoid the voracious guppies?

Note- there is no aerator in the tank, just the plants and the occasional stirring of the water by me.
I feed the fry daily with hand ground bits of fluval bug bites.

I recently put it under a proper desk lamp after it was sitting on the windowsill for a while in the sun.

i don’t know anything about berries shrimp but those fry are so cute. that jar also looks really cute. maybe you could keep it with the rams horn on your desk once the babies grow up.

I personally wouldn’t put the shrimp in there. They do best in heated water.
