Purple Spotted Gudgeon

I have a female Purple Spotted Gudgeon, who is about 15cms, alone in a 100L tank. Is there anything else that could go in there peacefully with her? She has killed x3 of her [attempted] boyfriends. She eyes off the tetras in the 3ft next to her tank

Any ideas/suggestions?

They naturally occur with rainbowfish, archerfish and small grunters/perch. But generally anything that is about the same length as her should be fine. Small fishes will get eaten. Taller bodied fish will have more chance. Try blue, gold or pearl gouramis.
It's a bit unusual for the female to kill the male. They are pretty peaceful fish besides the fact they eat anything that fits in their mouth

I might try a larger gourami. I had an angelfish in there with her, but she harassed it to death!
Perhaps I have a rogue gudgeon The one that was bigger than her lasted the longest. I had a mouth almighty in there with her, but he had a bad batch of worms and passed away
I can't complain- she is a beautiful fish.

Just purchased a v. large Golden Gourami. She is currently in the main tank, but I have moved Spot into a spare QT, to 'reset' the territories.

Will have to see how we go!

Just an update for anyone thinking about trying this combination:
Both fish are in the 2ft tank happily, eating well- have been for about 72 hours with little to no harrassment. Hopefully this combination will work well long-term!

100%. I wish I had a good enough camera to show you. Snakeheads are illegal here, so I think the price I paid for the gudgeon would not cover an illegal import!!

Oh, I agree. All good on the gudgeon front though, the separation has eliminated any aggression, so there you go!

hmm... I had a female Mogurnda Gudgeon and tried to pair with a Gold Gourami, but she decided he was not welcome and beat him up pretty badly. Funnily, I recall her being absolutely terrified of a female betta, though she was smaller then, nowadays she'd probably eat a betta. I did have luck with adding fullsize tiger barbs as they were big and fast enough to avoid being dinner. She's currently living peacefully with a senegal bichir and has been for about a year. They mostly ignore one another.
