HI, I'm going to have a spare 120L tank as I've mentioned in another post.

What are my options for a 120L tank? Max numbers and so. I want it to be completely FW. Not brackish.

Thanks for any replies. :)

* trio of red eyed or red tailed puffers (1M2F) but would depend on individual specimens
or
* 6 dwarf puffers + small clean up crew of otos and shrimp

If given lots of flow and a very well scaped tank then you could consider and look into beforehand, South American Puffers. A group of maybe 4 would be ok as they are very sociable with each other. They also tollerate Otocinclus, so you could include a group of them too.

They will more than likely struggle to be weaned onto dry foods. Mine fed exclusively on thawed frozen foods, they wouldn't accept dry foods at all no matter what i tried.

There would probably be options to stock one of the larger Puffers as they're pretty innactive, but probably best waiting for Neale to advise on that one.

Nice avatar btw. :good:

I personally think SAP's need at least 180L but i guess it could be done with an open tank with lots of flow.

A Mekong puffer is another potential option but IMO they aren't very active and are far too aggressive to be housed with tankmates
