Pseudotropheus Phaeos/shauri Undu Point

Right, Ive just saved the above fish.

Ive put him in a 30" tank, alone, with a sand substrate and rocks to form caves.

What fish can I put with him? Ive never done chiclids, so the more fancy/marine style the better!

As its a malawi I would believe they can only be kept with other malawi, try posting in the african section. sorry cant help further

what you have there is a mbuna lake malawi cichid

you can only realy keep other mbuna cichlids im afraid... you will need at least 200 litres to house these
generaly they are okay by themselves but its better to keep very large groups and pack the tank to its limit with other mbunas

just a note i wouldnt reccomend adding in any malawi open water cichlids .. they generaly are picivorus and will get slightly bigger than most mbuna and will require diets that have a higher protien content.

these include the cytocara and alunocara genus' and despite that they look simmilar to mbuna they need a larger aquarium nd wont be good for your little pseudo

So, can I add any fish to the tank Ive got?
Getting a bigger tank isnt an option, and the lonely fish has already been in there for years. I just wanna get him some buddies.
