Hi

Buying a tank that has one of these fish in, have researched the net and tried to read some articles on here, a good view of the this fish (in the tank i am getting) is in picture 9 of this link (top of pic)

My Questions are;

1. Can i feed it frozen bloodworm, or this is complete "no-no" for all Malawi Cichlids?

2. Any other advice about best diet?

Thanks

All Malawi Mbuna except tb L.Caeruleus are very strict vegies, blood worm is a complete no no as there digestation tract isnt made for this, the best diet for Mbuna is food rich in spirulina and things like peas, lettuce, courgette, cucumber and a once a week treat of brine shrimp, cyclops, stuff like that.

This is just what I have read over the years and what I do, this isnt a expert comment.

she is right they cant digest food like that but one comment if that is your tank i would get rid of the 2 parrot fish before they are killed and also they require different water parameters

fair point, its not my tank but i am purchasing it WITH the fish, but i have other tanks i can seperate the fish into if required. The owner has had exactly these fish in this tank for years now

by the way, regarding the comment about water parameters, what water parameters do Parrot fish require then?
