Protein Skimmer For 36 Gallon

I am starting a 36 gallon reef probably in february, and I can't decide on a skimmer. Do you have any recommendations? The cost isn't a huge factor, but a $600 skimmer probably isn't a good idea. I'd say $100 max, but obviously cheaper is better.

Several od us will say the deltec mce 300 - try looking around for a second-hand one

I can't seem to find a used deltec, but I will keep looking. How is the Finnex PS-60?

Also, when I was reading about it, it says that it has 343 gph. Does this mean that I don't need a powerhead, or is that the flow into the skimmer?

Thats the flow through the skimmer and yes you do still need a powerhead

Hmmm, thats what I thought about the flow. I am in the U.S, about 20 minutes away from boston.
