After returning from university my tank is in need of a haircut and general re-scape! The following image shows my tank in its current state:

My plan:

  1. Remove excess plants
  2. Re-scape the tank to cater for my breeding kribs
  3. Keep a 'wildish' look however allow more room for my fish to swim!
  4. Clean the gravel, and generally de-clutter the tank

If anyone has any suggestions for the tank re-scape please post below, I would love to hear you opinions!
Finished pictures to follow when the tank is more suitable for public viewing haha!

  going to need a hedge trimmer in their. Can see it will look really nice once it has had a trim though, wouldn't change to much if it was me.

Haha tell me about it! The water is crystal clear and the plants are thriving in the conditions! Minimal algae so I know conditions must be good! Just need to find a way to re-scape without losing this exception variety of plants!

i quite like the overgrown look =] it needs a little bit of a trim though... (cuttings on donations ? :good: )

looks good :good: the moss has had a massive haircut!!!

Hey buddy, long time no speak!!!

Your tank looks great, i bet the Kribs are very happy indeed with it! :) Although i did like it before the haircut too! :D

Cheers mate! Yer it has been a while! I see you're now going down the puffer route from your picy! I have another tank that is full of java moss and therefore decided that if I needed anymore I could always steal some from that tank! The plants in this tank, esp the java fern, grow at the rate of knots so in about 4 weeks my tank will probs look 'wild' again! haha!

Feel free to send me some plants! :D

You obviously have the perfect conditions for them to flourish!

Hows the Kribs? I really miss mine! :(

As for my Puffers, yeah i have 3 little South American Puffers.

Cheers Caz, I was pretty harsh with the pruning but the tank grows so quickly it will soon replicate its former self! The poor fish had nowhere to swim with all that foliage

Swim space is overrated.

I love it when that happens. Great tank there. :good:

really love the look of your over-grown tank, looks wild and natural :) and it has given me some ideas on what to do with my tank when i can get hold of enough plants and when and if they grow :good:
