Just noticed today a fairly large problem with my Corydoras...

so far I have spotted 6 of them with this problem

this one seems to have the biggest lump noticable.. the others not so much, But they are ALL located in the same place.
that bit where they have that spikey section near their front fin (love my scientific name use there)

I have noticed a little glancing I know for sure its not Ich so I'm thinking Gill fluke possibly causing these problems

One of them I cant be sure looks almost like its turned into a hole in that section. I am trying to get better pictures but it's so hard

Any information? I'll be popping to the shops soon so I hope to grab the needed meds then..

p.s I have Otos so my concern is the med and them
Water stats are 0 ammonia / Nitire

23/30ppm Nitrate

EDIT: It almost looks like a fungus.. But cant understand why they all would be affected in the same place.. Unless it's gill fluke or something

EDIT:::: I think I have worked it out....
(number 7 I think) as I have noticed some redness... possibly this is a result of gill fluke.. can I treadt with Protazin and an ainti bacterial?
as I mentioned it looked as if one fish had a hole so possibly these are ulcers/Fungal

Seems I cant link it here..

I dont think its a fungus... but then again it could be,
I have noticed redness on it's tail as you can see.. and on one of its fins.
The ones affected seem to have it all in the same place.

certainly not that.
It looks like a lump thats going to burst.. One of them it looks like it has, sort of like a solid large lump, I get the feeling if I squished it it'd burst
It's so hard to get a decent photo. and my concern is they all got it in the same place.

If you look at that lump you see it also on the fin.
Maybe I should just treat with an anti fungal and see that happens?

EDIT: there is constent breeding going on in the tank, And the fish dont seem affected by what they got.
I'm really thinking its an internal bacteria affecting them in those specific locations brang on by gill flukes. as I notice glancing but no signs of Ich

Does the lump look cauliflowery? Nodular white swellings (cauliflower) on fins or body.

Lymphocystis is a virus and, being a virus, affects the cells of the fish. It usually manifests itself as abnormally large white lumps (cauliflower) on the fins or other parts of the body. It can be infectious, but is usually not fatal
.

Don't seem like that either...

on this image you can see the fins have a sligh cloudyness to them.. But it dont seem fuzzy like Columnaris or flexibacter

I'm not sure what that would look like,
but you can see visibly on the toop photo it's a lump physically coming out..

Like slime over the body.

It doesnt sound like flukes, they would excess mucus, heavy breathing, fins/scales coming away, red gills.

I'm not to sure what to do,
if I should try Bacterial treatment (internam or external) or a fungal treatment

only reason I suggested flukes is because of Glancing and I know I certainly dont have Ich

I think I'm going to go for an Anti fungal treatment.. The white on the fins appear to be exactly where it contacts on the side of their body..
Would all fungal treatments be okay with Otocinclus? with an added mix of Teatree oil treatment.. cant remember the name of the top of my head.

I would go with an anti bacteria (external) and see how you get on. Failing that, wait for either Wilder or Colin_T as they have way more experience than me.

The tea tree is melafix and I doubt it will help.

Pimafix would be my choice, with myxazin.

You may need to half dose with the otos and corys.

Half dose of Primafix?

I'll got with anti bacterial.. hopefully I have som luck...
going to pop and buy the stuff now before the shop closes

Just checked a bottle of Pimafix Ive got and it doesnt say to half dose with scalesless fish, so it should be ok.

Could only find internal Bacteria treatment,
I picked up a bottle of Anti Slime and velvet as the picture on it looks very similar to what the problem is if I'm honest But.. mine has a large lump.. Can this happen with it?

I know this says ammonia but ignore that as mine is fine :) but do you think there is a similarity?

This has to be it.
