hahaha the joys of a large tank and water changes...........
I would perhaps try 30%.........I was always led to believe water changes should be around 20-30% max unless there is something seriously drastic.........
Similar what just occurred to my tank after nearly 3 years...........
As for an enclosed tank (like mine) you would be surprised to find what does make its way in.........many years ago my parent sprayed fly spray about 6- 8 meters from tank yet it still managed to wipe out there 5 year old tank within 2 days.....
I also dont think it could be coincidence either...........there is something which is creating this.......PM Miss Wiggle or one of the other many experts........
