Probably A Stupid Question.

I use bleach in my bathrooms and for a little while there is that bleach odor in the air. Could bleach particle be in the air and possibly contaminate my tanks? Just having a paranoia moment. I have never had adverse affects on my tanks, but I am curious is I am being risky.

You're being paraniod; nothing bad is going to happen to your fish from a bit of bleach smell in the house :good:

That is good to know lol. I occasionally have these moments. It comes with the bipolar disorder lol. When things are going wrong I have the tendancy to over analyze and freak myself out lol even if they don't have anything to do with it. I'm stressing cause my house is a disaster. I am trying to clean but I'm in pain from my surgery last week. So the stress is making me think weird.

If you're really worried, you could put one drop of Prime in the tank each day. That should be more than enough to counter any chlorine absorbed from the air. I've worried about my air pumps putting stuff in the water.

I never use any bug spray, air fresheners or spray cleaners anywhere near the tanks as they could really impart some material into the tank from the air, especially for open top tanks.

I do not use aerosols or anything in my room where there are fishtanks. In my living room, I use disinfecting wipes. I only use spray cleaners in my bathrooms and kitchen, where there is no risk of contamination. If I have to use and air freshener in a room with a tank, I am across the room and I spray into the floor.
