Preparing For New Arrivals

hi guys, im getting 6 zebra danios on friday if the lfs still has them, and i was wondering if there is anything i need to/ should do to prepare for there arrival?

You can make sure that you have a working biological filter and heater to make sure that the water is right, then it should just be a case of acclimating the fish in the bag before release into a tank with subdued lighting

its an established tank and all parameters are in order, i normally do a 10-20% water change at the weekend, should i do this before new fish, after or not at all?

Do water changes and other maintenance before adding new fish, so you do not disturb the new fish.

Is the night before ok to do the water change, or is two days better?

The night before would be fine

One other thought, have you considered quarantine ? I`m lucky enough to have my lfs 5 minutes away so I can watch any fish I`m thinking of buying for a couple of weeks, even so I still quarantine for a month

I dont have the means to quarantine fish but although i have had the odd bad advice from my lfs the fish i have had from there are good quality and i have never had any issues by adding new fish before.
