Just watch out for the squaring off ive found as soon as the squareing off occurs this is a pretty close indication to them been ready drop

Rather than making a new thread, I just decided to bump up this one. I want to try and keep most of the fry, so is there any point in buying a breeding net or breeding cage? And, what is the better out fo the two? Thanks

well i don't think the mum herself would eat the babies (please check this first) but if i were you i would put her into a breeding net

breeding nets are better in most cases because more fresh water can circulate through them, they are often larger so it stresses the mum out less and also they are more sturdy and less likely to sink or allow fry to escape

Thanks. This is probably a really newbie question, but, how will I know exactly when to put her into the breeding trap?
