Pregnant Molly!

Still no babies yet, the pregnancy spot is larger though!

Hi- I feed my molly fry finely ground up flake food. You can grind it between your fingers or in a cup with a spoon. It's supposed to be something like the fry food can't be bigger than their eyes....I also feed the fry several times a day--'cause they're babies. I've heard and seen that the more you feed them (often), the faster they grow...Good luck..

Cheers for the advice wendy i thought that would be the best thing to do too.

If you look at the molly from the top the mid section gets a somewhat square shape usually when they are getting close to time.
Mine usually get mean a about a day before too. One of mine just had 50+ fry the other day! I also have another one that is just about ready. I had to go get another tank just for all the fry! :good:

Its belly looks sorta square from the side and she has a large dark patch all round the anal fin area.

Cheers. Still no fry and she is realy fat! I hope she is actualy pregnant and not just fat. The man at the shop said that she is ready to give birth any day now and that was on thursday.

Woke up this morning and she was realy skinny! I looked everywhere and then i finaly saw 2 fry. The rest must of got eaten. They are in a large tub of tank water and next to another tub filled with realy hot water which im using as a heater. Shame there are loads missing though!
