Pregnant Mollie, How Long?

Hi. I have a pregnant mollie and wondered if anyone can tell me how long left she may have before having fry? Seen a post a min agao where a member guessed 10days for a guppie and it was right lol.

I have a breeders net ready to try and catch any fry I can.

Pics, sorry there not clear, off phone camera as she swims so fast that my digi cam cant get pics.

She has been this size for a week now, pictures dont sdo much justice as she seems bigger than she looks in them.

I have just had one give birth to a load last night same type of molly as yours I think or at least similar. Theres a pic here of about 5 hours before.

all i know is that black molly fry stick out like a sore thumb since they are born almost black so it wont be hard to find them and if i remember to my childhood they tend to stay as bottom dwellers for a short time

The first pic does look a little different than the second. With the first I'd say about a week.
With the second Id say a couple of days...

She looks really large in the second picture. My Molly dropped within half a week of being that size. There's no way to tell exactly when, but bigger means closer to dropping. She looks huge.

Check out my post called" extremly prgnant fish" it showes you that just becasue the fish is huge dosent mean sshe is going to give birth right away. Mine had 53 live babies and 3 dead and I thought she was going to have babies the day I got her but she didnt. Size is a good indicater but It is up to the fish when because you dont know how many she is carrying. But in my experience I would give her min. 4 days and max. 9 days. I had a molli give birth to 45 so compared to her yours it skinny.

Wow thats exactly how she is looking.

Will try and get some better pictures to post. No sign yet, I feel like a father in waiting lol. All anxious and excited.
