Hi aj.mitchell :)

I'm going to move your thread over to the Livebearers section. Perhaps the members who post in there will be able to help you. :D

What usually happens is as simple as just missing the fry and their eaten.

Now your gonna say that they don't go thin right?

Well healthy livebearers will easily be producing eggs while the fry are devloping inside the mum, so yes they get slightly larger while pregnant and the dose go slightly thinner once dropped the fry but they dont go thin as a rule.

what other fish do u keep with them?

I just looked at your post in the pinned topic called How do You Know if Your Livebearers Ready to Drop Fry and would say that your female molly is not carrying fry, or at least was not when the picture was taken. My breeding female molly is heavier than that right after she has dropped her fry. A molly is not a swordtail and it does not get a slight swelling when carrying fry. A molly get downright large and quite square as the fry develop. Why do you think they are pregnant? Have you kept them with males that actually breed with them?
