Power-Head ... Submersible?

I was trying to figure out how to rid my tank of algae with plants. I have been reading up and needless to say I think I lack water current. It seems to grow to a certain level in the tank and stop... until it takes over everything.

So a came across a power head that I had. Never used one before ... it is a Aqua Tech 3PH.... soo... never used one before I was wondering do I put this into the water as in under the surface of the water? I know this may come as a stupid question but I did not wanna zap my fish.

This would be in a 72 gallon bow front. I was going to have it go from one end to the other. I also worry about my corries and dinos... will this be too much movement of water?

It can go completely underwater, yes. You'll need to keep the little intake on the top above the water level if you want it to pump out air bubbles as well, but you don't need to.

Your danios will love the extra flow, and as it will be higher up in the tank it shouldn't bother the cories at all.

Some people like to have alot of flow in their tanks because of its benefits such as keeping detritus in the water column and subsequently picked up by the filtration or because some fish love the added flow of a powerhead but either way I dont think you can go wrong with the extra flow.
