Power Consumption Of A Sump

What is the general power consumption of sump on a 1200L tank?

I think we may have to upgrade to a sump on our living room tank and we're trying to work out the costs versus the other methods of filtering. We currently have a home-made ginormous internal which works great for our current stocking but when they grow and/or when we add stock I want to make sure the filtration is good enough.

What kind of flowrate are you looking for? At an estimate i'd say you'd be looking at around 50W to 80W so probably similar to running two medium sized externals
