I want to be a fish daddy too like Nelly, and I'll probably be as obsessed...just got the Channa v's Cichlid debate to have with myself and the other half....I was planning on trying to get hold of some Yellow Convicts if I can find some and get those a going in my Roma 125...also the other half is opposed to Channa at the moment - she says she likes pretty fish and not ones with big teeth....she needs to see your fry pics I think Nelly

Alpha, my Betta, liked to grab the corys shrimp pellets before they'd reach the bottom, regardless of how much he'd been fed that day, and would proceded to parade around his 5 gallon palace proudly displaying it to me until it was soft enough for him to chew and swallow it. The corys were lucky if they got scraps. I had to feed them after dark while simultaneously feeding Alpha. The corys have since been relocated to my 15 gallon community as Alpha thought they were fun to chase and nip at, and killed one of them.

Excuse the awful quality.. my cellphone camera was the only one working at this point and I no longer feed the shrimp pellets as Alpha makes a HUGE mess with them.
