Fish as in my sig, will also be adding a shoal of lampeyes in the future, so lots of small fish, hence nothing that would eat them, but thinking I might like a centre piece, any ideas? Sand substrate, slate, few moss balls but hoping to add to the real plant collection as I go along.

I saw an interesting tank with a piece of slate standing up in the middle, surrounded by plants. The gravel was 50/50 black and white.

They would have to be small and peaceful due to your current stock, small cichlids like apistogramma's may work, but even they might pick on the shrimp. Rams may be another option.

I was thinking to show off your current fish. Dark backgrounds + colourful fish = interesting display.
A large molly looks good, but you're probably after something more exotic. Probably can't help there - I'm more into the common stuff. I can't GET the exotic things, living as I do in the middle of nowhere (Australia).
