Hi, about a week ago I got an adult Heros Severus from a friend. While he was netting her from his tank she was thrashing around and seemed to knock a few scales off and had a scrape all down one side. It was like a diagonal scrape and looked a bit angry. It was healing and I have been keeping an eye on it but today there is like a white lump on one of the areas its about 3/4 healed and its only one part of the would that seems to have this patch on it. Its like a small lump but too big to be ich.

Ive started to dose the tank with Primafix but will need some more tomorrow as this bottle was quite small and for my old smaller tank. Or should I get a different product? She is still quite shy but is gradually settling in and getting used to us being around the room.

Is the lump beneath the skin or on top.
Does the lump look hard or soft like filled with fluid.
Any redness to the lump.

on top of the skin, its gotten much smaller over the past few days but still there not sure if it looks hard or soft but not like its filled with fluid though. No change in behavior or eating shes still as cheeky as ever.

If the lump going down on it's own maybe hold of using meds.
If any more developements get back to the board.

Its gotten even smaller seems to be going smaller on its own its pretty small now and looks quite solid. It almost looks like ich now but its just one spot and started off much bigger? Should I start treating?

I would still hold off treating.
If it hasn't gone in a few days, get back to the board.

white area has now gone slight pale patch with black edge which I believe means healing looks like a bit of a scale missing that I think became a little infected due to her being stressed from the move, she still goes dark when you go near the tank to quickly but other than that she is really happy and active.

thanks again Wilder :)

Keep an eye on water stats.
Glad she on the mend.
