I added 3 glofish (zebra fish) to my tank monday, one of them was aggressive and i read that they are a school fish, so i went and got 3 more today, before i added the 3 extra glo fish i scooped 2 tetras out that i was giving to my friend, after that and adding the 3 new glo fish i noticed one of the ones that have been in the tank for a few days already was laying on its side. I don't know if it is from the stress of the commotion in the tank today or if it is sick.

It will lay on the bottom on its side, then every few mins or so it will start swimming on its side, then it will swim almost normal for a min or two then go back to laying on the bottom. I have the light out to try and keep everything as calm as possible for now. what could be wrong with it?

I tested the ammonia, came back 0.

any ideas?

How many gallons is the tank.
How many fish and which type.
Do you have readings in nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

Were the fish caught roughly.
Does the fish look bloated or thin.
What does it look like when he goes to the toilet.
What do you feed the fish.

It could be bacterial, swim bladder. Or even internal parasites.

3 gal, i don't have any test for nitrate, i'll test nitrite, and ph when i get back home, the only other fish in it are 2 ghost shrimp

the fish looks thin, it hasn't ate much at all since i got it, I have fed a mix of betta pellets and tropical flakes

Test your water quality as swim bladder can be caused by bad water quality.
Do you have a heater in the tank.
How long did you climatise the new fish for. What was the ph of the lfs to your tank.

Being skinny can be old age, fish tb, internal parasites, not feeding enough, bacterial, fish isn't eating.

Your tanks overstocked if you go by the one inch per gallon rule.

he didn't make it, i believe the fish was young as his length was short as well.

PH is 8.0

Nitrate is .3mg/l

I'm getting water ready for a 25% water change tomorrow

R.I.P.

Keep a close eye on your other fish. If any symtoms show up get back to the board.
