I have a small cat fish loach I think its called, and He is usually pretty active, swimming about sucking the sides, today he seems to be very limp and lifeless. I caught my Guarmi nipping at him early so I put him in my smaller tank with the guppys. He keeps lying at the bottom upside down, playing dead. So me thinking he is dead I try and scoop him out and he swims off. Im bothered because it seems that the fish keep nipping at him no matter which tank he is in, so i am thinking he is weak and they are taking advantage. Do you have any idea whats wrong with him and is there anything I can do to help him. I dont want to be doing anything wrong. Which tank is best for him. I wish i had another tank to put him in alone but i dont so i am really stuck as to what to do :-(

Any idea what kind he is? is he a chinese algae eater?
A pic would be helpfull if you could get one. Do you think he might have run out of algae and do you feed him on anything else?

He died :-( I think he was dying and all the others were being nasty to him and getting him while he was weak.
He looked similar to the pic below but he was black. I liked him too

Sorry R.I.P.

Sorry about your loss. The fish in the pic is a weather loach but more suited to coldwater tanks. I dont know about a black version, maybe you had a fire eel, but these have red markings down the side.
