Had to do it, i've mentioned my extremely evil LFS, well i went in yesterday and they had 2 labiosa left from the batch i bought my first 2 from (mouthful).
Both seemed quite sickly, thin, poor colourtion, really, really lethargic. So depressing I couldn't refuse, even though i'm a bit short for space, they had to go straight in the community tank. Stupid i know.
I've fed them vitamin enriched food, pea, treating for general ailments, a tiny bit of live food, done extra water changes, kept watch on them for practically 24 hours (didn't get to bed till 6am, just check my posts.)
Ones thriving, his colour is up, really active, blatant improvement. Much chuffage.
The other (sylvia ;) ) is still quite sickly, the back half of her is so pale she's practically translucent and her balance when swimming seems a little shakey.

Am i expecting too much too soon or is there anything else that'd be recommended for a fish in such poor condition?
She doesn't strike me as having any form of illness although i'm half expecting a parasitic issue due to her thinness. Hence internal parasite meds afte my general treatment is up. What ailments are most commonly associated with poor care in the LFS?

Thanks in advance!
:good:
Ps.Don't let me lose another sylvia! :-(

stress can be a trigger for virtually any disease you can think of so really it's just keep an eye out for eveything

sounds like your really doing everything right so just keep it up and keep your fingers crossed.

sounds a really gay thing to say but i'm proud of you germ, hardly been in the hobby any time but you've learnt a lot and are turning out to be an excellent fishkeeper. kudos to you :good:

 Ta wiggly one!
But you helped me out on the first tank if you recall, and many times since so muchos kudos yourself.
If i hadn't found this site and your help amongst many others i'd have ended up with dead fish and probably never kept fish again.
Now i'd consider myself addicted.
Anyway (coughs gruffly and straightens collar) ain't this a regular love in....
Thanks very much!

lol

told you it was a gay thing to say, now lets never speak of it again! ;)

Stupid me!

Its her pectorals, they been thinned down, via nipping to threads, best med for fin repair please?
Wilder?
