Ok, one of my corys had a spot of mouth fungus/bacterial infection in Rocket's tank, unfortunately I don;t have a hospital tank so I had to medicate with Rocket (my betta) still in there
Last night he was fine and the Cory was somewhat not. This morning the cory was hanging at the top of the tank on some plants and in a really bad way, Rocket was somewhat listlessly laying on top of my filter, I assume so he could get air easily. I'm not sure if the air stone bugged him with the extra surface agitation or he was having problems getting enough oxygen.
Anyway, the Cory sadly died earlier
and rocket seemed seriously listless, so I did a *large* water change, about 50% incase the medication was affecting him. Now he's starting to swim around a bit more, tho still somewhat lethargic. I'll do another water change in the afternoon, and get some carbon to remove the meds.
But I was thinking, one of the ingredients used is phenoxyehtanol, which on a google search is used as a bacteriacide but also as an anasthetic. I think he's jsut stoned... and coming out of anasthesia... I'f I've killed him I'm gonna be extremely annoyed with me
