Poor Timing I Guess

I have had a female Lab holding for about 4 weeks now( around that). Anyway, I noticed she was eating today( she is in a 20g with a breeding pair of angels). She has spit them out( damnit !) . I only saved 4 fry. I think the pair of angels ate the rest. She had a huge brood too( her mouth was extremely distended). I am kind upset with myself that I didn't notice earlier, I could have saved more fry.

i have some yellow labs and i think two are holding. Ideally, I plan to put them in their own tank so if they do spit them they'll be safe.

Well, I was going to buy a 5G tank at an auction for like 3 Bucks( came with a lid and stuff), but my mom wont let me, because there isnt enough room( or so she says). So, she could have spit in the 5G, and I would have saved all of the fry, but nope, right into the 20 she spits.
