Pond Pump For Large Fish Tank

Hi, today I have been to a few lfs and looked at filters but I can't decide...
My tank is 436 litres and I was just wondering if I could run a pond filter in it (as they are cheaper) and can anyone recommend one?

Are you looking at the whole set up price for a pond filter? the actual box parts in the shop require a pump to run them, usually you get a fountain attachment etc, a full filter system for a pond is more expensive than a normal aquarium external filter.

Have you looked at allpondsolutions for an external filter, this guys prices are so cheap and the filters are brilliant, I have been running one for over a year without problems.
