Hi all
i recently bought some rocks made of a resin called POLYRIN.
my question is,
one of the pieces is too big so i was thinking of cutting it
into 2-3 pieces, what would you suggest to seal the raw ends with
as i dont know if it would leak any thing into the tank when cut,
i was thinking of aquarium silicon, but do you have any other
suggestions.
thanks.

it should be fine as the resin is made to be used in an aquarium, just make sure you throughly wash it after. Also you do knoe that the colour will not be the same on the bit you have sawn in half, may look a bit weird. Cant you take it back and find a smallers piece or even add some real rocks?

thanks for reply,
the cut edge will be on sand substrate,
anything you can think of to seal the end?,just in case

there's really no need. The entire piece will be moulded from the same plastic so it wont matter if the 'inside' is exposed. As sair above, just wash to get rid of any excess loose plastic after sawing.
