I have decided to give Polo and Pearl ago at breeding, i am going to start conditioning in the next few days on high quality betta pellets, shrimp pellets (made of shrimp that is) and bloodworm, i am going to get the container in which i am going to breed tomorrow and set it up with mature media for Polo then place Pearl in a breeder in her current tank give her a week of food 2-3 times a day then transfer her over to him still in the breeder a few times during the week. so hopfully in a few weeks i shall have babies of my own.

Heres the hopful happy couple :good:

Let me know what you think of the pair :)

Some nice looking bettas there, you should get some nice offspring! Good luck! :hyper:

i hope so, am just a bit worried about how he will react to her, he seems gentle enough with his tank mates though, she should be fine as she lives with her brother ( has been for 6 months odd now, there always together not one bit of aggression)

They're very pretty :D
I love white bettas!
Good luck with the breeding! :)

Haha, now I know why you liked Pretty. She looks a lot like your male. :)

Keep us posted on this spawn. Nice to see the spawn journals again. They are good learning experiences. There is nothing like raising fry.

she would be perfect for him wouldn't she

just be prepared for all the questions as this will hopefully be my 1st sucessful spawn

tried PKs in the past but they were VERY aggressive with each other

Be aware that removing her could break this 'bond' she has with the male she's in with at the moment. As you will know males and females shouldn't be together all the time (although we're seeing it work more and more now bettas have been bred for colour and not to fight). Just a note, that you should consider it as a possibility.

i have considered this, which is why i don't want to remove her completely while conditioning, i am also considering conditioning him as a backup he is a DTPK, i am not 100% they are siblings but they are spitting image of each other i brought themm from the same batch of Females at the LFS.

if there is any trouble i have another 8Gal sat empty i could house him in :good:

I figured you probably had a back-up anyways for if they ever fall out as it is at the moment. I just wanted to mention it was more likely to happen after she's been removed and replaced, just on the off chance you hadn't considered it. :D

i always have a spare tank about never know when i'll spot that betta i just can't say no too

Now that's called self control in this hobby!
Being able to keep a tank empty :p

Oh they're a sexy couple lol. Wow we have the same kinda spawn a DtxHM, although my HM is the female. Hey we should try and have our fry be born on the same day, that would be cool lol. I just got my new male today and am conditioning them both starting tomorrow. I plan to breed a week from Today on Tuesday. Good luck!

Pantera my female is the HM too :D it would be good to have them the same day wouldn't it, compare growth and such, i will see how there conditioning goes :good:
