I'm looking at getting som pitbull plecs as bottom feeders and algae control but was wandering if I'd encounter any problems with them and fish that are breeding?

Specifically I have several pairs of various Apistogramma who are like rabbits and I'm afraid that the plecs would see the Apisto eggs as a tasty treat. Are pitbulls purely herbivorous or am I going to have to stick with Oto's?

Thanks
Hank

in the wild pelco's of all kinds have a tendancy to eat any scraps, dead fish and eggs that they just happen to stumble across
