Ok i just purchased a nutrafin co2 injector My question is does my airstone defeat the purpose of having a planted tank?

In answer an airstone is OK in a planted tank if you are injecting more than you need and then using an airstone to get some O2.

With a yeast setup this is virtually impossible to do so in other words you cannot use an airstone with the kits you are looking at.

People that use pressurised may put more CO2 than they need into the tank because they want to use an airstone (or like me use their lily pipe) to draw oxygen in whilst maintaining the 30ppm of CO2.

Hope this answers the question
