Hello all new here and was just wondering if I could put a common pleco in my 4ft koi/goldfish pond in the uk.I love big common plecos and I think they would look really cool . I have two common plecos one in my cold water tank and one in my tropical tank and I would love to send them of to the pond in spring. Would they survive?

No, they wouldn't survive. Our climate is just too changeable.

What about in mid summer and bring them in in winter?

The potential temperature drops could be lethal.

I agree, think of how different it can be night to day

What is the minimum tank size for common plecos?? My bigger one is in a 400l malawi tank and the other in a 64l goldfish tank. Do they need a bigger tank than what they are in?

As they can grow to over a foot long, in all honesty, a 5'x2'x2' would be the minimum size.

You should definitely move the one in the 64l ASAP before it becomes stunted.

My tank is 4ft long ,2ft wide and 2ft tall. Will this be ok for 2 common plecos?

It's just about okay for one; plecs can get quite territorial as they mature, so you might well get a lot of fighting, if you have two :/
