Pleco help!

Hi my name is Melanie, I was watching my plecostomus a moment ago and he has a big red.. something on his stomach and it does not look good. Can someone tell me what it is? How it happened? What I can do about it? Will it spread to my other fish?

What I can do about it?

You can make sure it has lots of clean warm water and good food. You could also get a heater guard to prevent it happening again.

I was looking around online while waiting for a reply, could it be my other pleco is fighting with it? It just seems weird it's on its belly which makes me feel like heater burn is more likely but I've read that they can fight with each other too.
