It is a myth that fish get stunted from being in a tank to small for them. A pleco will keep growing. Do you have room in your yard for a pond? Common plecos can grow to 3' long. I have one that goes in my Koi pond every year and he is 20" long right now at 3 years old. He comes in in the winter and back out in the summer. I get so made at the LSF people because they don't explain this stuff to people before they buy them.
