I could really do with some advice regarding my common plec. I have a healthy 4ft tank with a few neons, guppies, and other common community fish. All are healthy and thriving with nice colourings and generous growth rates. I also have two plec's 1 is a common plec and the other a common albino plec. My common plec
has a growth on the underside of his top lip which has been increasing in size over the past week or so. Initially it just looked as so he had may be scuffed his lip on something sharp in the tank as his lip almost looked fraid slightly but then the growth appeared. The growth itself is white and has little barnacles on it. If anyone has ever watched pva dissolve in water and turn into a little white snot ball then thats exactly what it looks like lol
The growth is now approx the size of very small pea and or tho he does not seem to be ill and eating well I wanna stop it from getting bigger and resolve the whole problem asap.
I have attached some pics but my phone camera is not upto much so I hope you can make out the growth and
give me some advice as to how I can help mr plec?
Ps: The other plec in the tank is not effected by this.
