Plec And Planted Tank

Evening all,

Finally getting round to seting up the 240ltr this weekend and really want to have a moss wall and quite a few plants is this a good idea as my plec is around 8 inch now and i dont want all my hard work to be destroyed.

What species of plec is it? Most that top out 8-10" should be fine with a planted tank! Mine is! However big commons gibbies etc.. may be a bit too clumsy and damage the plants by accident! I'm sure there are some species that will eat plants but none spring to mind!

Yeah when it gets bigger it will simply snap your plants, just one of those things of being big and clumsy!

LOL sounds good to me! I would stick the plec in the 6 footer and totally aquascape the 240! Make a little project out of it!

might just do that when i sort my garage out gunna stick a few tanks in there so he might get a new home. Still think ill add the moss wall in the 240 tho give it that bit more depth.

A moss wall should be fine, I had a 7" in with plants and he was ok just had to re-plant often!
