Please, Please Some Advice?

You know.. two dead fish, even as small as endlers, I guess could indeed cause a significant ammonia spike in a small water volume, small filter situation. Perhaps that was all there was to it?

They are definitely missing harlequins. The filter inlet has a block of sponge over it or they would definitely be up it!
Well, it seems to have settled down some now, 0 ammonia for 6 days. the spike and 2 fish going missing seems a bit too much of a coincidence to me. Although I am a bit that I didn't notice they were missing for so long!

Its very easy not to realize right away when you've lost fish. It will be interesting to see whether that seems to have been the explanation for your ammonia spike or whether the little filter will again go back into a period of not removing all the ammonia. Certainly hope its the explanation, although I also hope you don't lose any more fish!
