HI all,

so our weather loach has had a large lump growing from within, looks like he is swollen just on one side amd it has now split through his skin amd is continuously dripping blood into the water. I have done a partial water change as although nitrites, ph, gh and kh were fine, the nitrates were way up at 200, though I thought this spike could be caused by the blood going into the water. He seems ok in himself and is eating properly. All advice appreciated. Please not we do not have the facility to quarantine him. also the picture doesnt show just how swollen or big the lump is, from above it looks like its sticking out a good half a centimetre or possibly more. I can only think it os a tumor growing so large its rupturing the skin.

I would do several small waterchanges, anything above 40 ppm of nitrates starts to harm fish. As for the lump, im not sure, sorry.
