Believe it to be member of Synodontis group of catfish. Picture is sort of blurry but it could perhaps be Synodontis Petricola.Look for white along back edge of dorsal fin or google Synodontis Petricola.Don't believe it is Multipunctatus but there are several members of the synodontis family that look similar including hybrids.

It's definitely a synodontis, but I think I'm right in saying it's one of the many hybrids out there. No idea of which species were used to make it up I'm afraid.
Looks like it's a reasonable size already, can't see any reason why it won't get to 8"+. How long have you had it, and what's it like temperament wise?

I have had him for a week now, he is a fair size and i suspect he will grow to between 7-8"

temperament... well he chases my other syno around who was once leader of the tank, but only the other syno no other bottom dwellers.

He is a 'featherfin Catfish'.

Amazing fish, I have two, but can get aggressive....

Also, beware..... He will be with you for about 18 years of your life!

Im not sure what it is but i dont think its a Synodontis euptera it looks quite long and think where as euptera are normally bulkier. And it had quite a short dorsal fin where as euptera have a long "feathery" dorsal fin.
This is a pick of one and its quite different to yours IMO

Euptera may have been one of the parents but it definitely isn't a pure breed syno, but a hybrid.
Exact size and data is difficult as it can any amount of it's character from either/both parent so its all a bit unknown. Feeding should be the same as with all other medium to large synos - pellets, tablet and large flake, and even frozen foods such as bloodworm, mysis and even krill for the larger fish.
