Please Help Me!

Ok. Can you give us the ammonia, nitrite, and nitrite levels of the bowl? If you don't have a test kit you can go to a LFS and bring a sample of water, ask them to test it and write down results. Sometimes it costs money(inexpensive though)but sometimes it's free. Also a water change every 2 weeks isn't enough if there's no filter. If the tank isn't cycled, you'd need maybe 50% water change every 2 days. The tank is probably cycled already since it's been 3 years but maybe not because you have no filter.

is there a reason why? Does his constipation have to do with the water? I don't know how much longer he can live with this constipation. How do most people feed their bettas peas because I've tried so many ways to feed Buddy and he just wont eat it.

Yes, constipation can actually be affected by water. If the water's poor, then how can you expect recovery? And if water conditions were more optimal to him, it might make him feel much better and relaxed. Water changed = ALWAYS the first step.

ok, the water was changed yesterday and Ive been sucking out the pea parts he wont eat with a turkey baster. His water is always kept fairly clean I am pretty sure his constipation is a result of over feeding by accident. My mom and I both fed him in one night without knowing :/ and that has never happened before

Yeah, that's also very common as well. Honestly, I can't give much insight on this. I've never had a constipation problem before. All I can say...keep trying...! Maybe attach a piece of pea onto something that can hold it?

Buddy past away tonight :,( RIP Buddy he was the best fish I ever had

im sorry to hear that. but take MAJOR comfort in the fact that he lived a good three years!!! that is a great life for the average betta. overfeeding over a LONG period of time was likely the culprt. these things happen so dont beat yourself up. the older they get, they more a problem constipation is, generally. it would be a good idea if you get another one to get a bigger home for him so you can at least fit a filter in there. or do waterchanges every 3 days at the LEAST. but i digress. id get some epsom salts if and when you get another betta so next time there is an issue with constipation/swimbladder you will be prepared. every betta owner should have some on hand.
RIP fishy. at least he didnt suffer for an extended period. and my sympathies to you :(
cheers

If you do get another betta next time please get at least a 3 gallon tank, it's hard to have a betta live really long in a bowl, i know yours did live 3 years, but again, eventually as you see it caught up with him and he fell ill very quickly and died.

Besides, in a bigger tank a male can open his fins wider and he will have more color and energy, and he will eat well and not be constipated especially if he can move around more he will burn more energy and have less chance of getting constipated.

Sorry for your loss. :( I used to keep a betta in a tiny bowl and had him for 6 years, used all the water conditioners, ph kits, fed him betta pellets, and he was in my room which was never under 68 F and in summer got over 80 F, but he constantly had ich from stress and went from royal blue to whitish blue and as a kid thought he was magicical or something thats why he changed color. the pet stores werent a help becuase they said they live in tiny bowls, so my parents thought they did everythng right helping me care for him. I learnt now that they need tanks, not bowls to be happy and healthy!
