Please Help Me!

i have a 9 inch pink kissing gouramie and i have had him since he was only like half a inch, any way he is having trouble opening his mouth it is as if it is kinda glued making it difficult to open it. he is the last fish i want to die and i am 99% sure it is velvet, can any please tell me if that is it or if it is something else.

How can we say?

Can you post a photo of this fish?
Has he knocked himself?
Velvet looks like a dusting of fine pepper - is this present?

What tank is he in & what tankmates & water parameters?
How old is he?
